Bishop Christophoros Greek School
In 1963, Bishop Christophoros Kommodatos and his brother the Very Reverend Archimandrite Athenagoras Konstantinou established the Greek Orthodox community in Camberwell. Thereafter our school was opened, initially with Greek lessons held in the church, led by the Bishop himself. Throughout the years, the community worked hard to raise funds to create a purpose-built school to accommodate the increasing number of students. In September 1990, the new premises were finally completed and ready to welcome students. Since then, the school continues to operate with qualified teachers who work hard to offer the best standard of teaching to our students. We educate them on the Greek language and culture – including Greek dancing, history and religious education.
We are proud to welcome all students. Our classes start from the nursery and cover all years up to GCSE level.
